Siempre he querido ser Indiana Jones.
Es el héroe en estado puro, es la aventura en estado puro. Representa la necesidad de adrenalina, el frikismo arqueológico y la emoción por el riesgo.
Emulando a Indiana Jones y su temeridad, sin utilizar dobles, he coleccionado unas cuantas cicatrices infantiles (no en la barbilla, que el látigo nunca se me ha dado bien).
Ayer, saturado de trabajo, decidí relajarme un rato viendo los "extras" del DVD que compila las tres películas de Indiana Jones (las pelis no hacen falta, porque creo que las he revisitado 20 veces cada una, menos que Los Cazafantasmas y más que El Acorralado), mientras Natalia intentaba hacer dormir a uno de sus muñecos lanzándolo una y otra vez contra la puerta (en la guardería aprenden esas cosas).
Devoré los "extras" de las tres películas y, al borde de los 34 años, seguí más convencido que nunca de que quería ser Indiana Jones cuando fuera mayor.
Quizás, en un futuro, cuando mi niña se fuera a estudiar al extranjero, o de colonias, aprovecharía para escaparme de la ordenada cola de un grupo de mansos turistas que visitaran algún templo maldito en busca de una puerta secreta, un mausoleo olvidado o una base escondida de submarinos alemanes...
Recuerdo que mi padre me llevaba a la montaña a realizar prácticas de tiro con carabina y me enseñaba a moverme por la montaña, identificar casquillos, detectar las zonas en las que se apostaban los cazadores, acechar, trepar a los árboles, desplazarme sin hacer ruido, utilizar un arma responsablemente y orientarme (nunca, NUNCA, he disparado contra un ser vivo), y cada fin de semana buscábamos masías abandonadas, ruinas o cuevas para EXPLORAR. Era emocinante.
Era como en las pelis de Indiana Jones.
Mi madre y mis abuelas ya tenían preparados el alcohol y el agua oxigenada para cuando volviéramos.
Como os decía, acabé con los "extras" y llegó la hora de la cena. Natalia come confinada en una trona, colocada estratégicamente en el centro del comedor y orientada sur-suroeste, o sea, imposible que pueda salpicar de papilla a objetos o aparatos en un radio de metro y medio.
No le gusta que le pongan el babero. Odia el babero. Se enfada. Odia la trona. Quiere escaparse de las ligaduras y saltar al suelo, como Indiana Jones... No tiene miedo. Y fue entonces cuando, todavía con el espíritu de Indiana metido en mi corazoncito mitómano, Natalia se quitó el babero con una mala leche de espanto y me miró cabreada...
Y me di cuenta. Esa mirada quería decir algo más que "quítame el maldito trapo este de encima y déjame la cuchara que quiero comer sola"... Más que "es más divertido comer de pie mientras juego"... Más que "¿cuándo empezaré a comer pizza y no este montón de cereales triturados?"
Natalia me miró y su mirada gritaba: "No me llames Junior".
Cielo santo, lo entendí. Miré a la pantalla donde figuraba el Menú del DVD de Indiana Jones. Me sobrecogí.
Yo ya no era Indiana Jones... Me había convertido en el papá de Indiana Jones. De repente, todos los esquemas se transformaron. El sombrero dejó paso al gorrito simpático, el látigo fue sustituido por el paraguas, la chaqueta molona de cuero se convirtió en un chaleco a cuadros... La marcha aventurera de Williams se convirtió en la melodía pausada de la Última Cruzada...
Sólo duró un momento. Pero fue un momento muuuuuuy intenso.
El tiempo pasa. Hay que aceptarlo. Por suerte, la aventura continúa, aunque cueste cada vez un poco más encontrarla.
Pero, ante esta coyuntura, ¿sería en un futuro como Indiana Jones, o como el padre de Indiana Jones? Snif!!
Conseguí ponerle el babero a Natalia. En estos momentos, las canas de papá mandan. La experiencia es un grado. Natalia, mientras comía, me dijo: "abbu-badda-ptota", que quiere decir, más o menos, "quiero jugar con la pelota".
Levanté la mano sin mirarla y le dije: "Junior... en griego".

Había olvidado por completo que tengo un babero para Natalia, lo bordé hace siglos y lo guardé en alguna caja cuando acondicioné mi cuarto para dibujar la batalla de Montjuic (o sea, cogí todos mis juguetes y trastos y los metí en cajas hasta que encontré la mesa que habia debajo).
A ver si lo busco y se lo mando antes de que se le acabe la edad de llevar babero.
=)
Bueno... siempre te queda ser Schwarzeneger en Mentiras Arriesgadas... Dr Jones Sr. :P
