Brett Anderson planea un disco en solitario
Brett Anderson, el miembro más destacado de los recientemente escindidos Suede, planea publicar un disco en solitario en los próximos meses.
Entre sus colaboradores, piensa contar con Bernard Butler, componente de Suede en sus primeros tiempos y con el que Brett terminó según se rumoreaba en su día bastante mal por culpa del típico conflicto de pesonalidades dominantes en el seno de una banda de rock.
Suede pesonalmente me gusta y considero que su primer disco, titulado de forma homónima y conocido por su famosa portada ambigüa, es el mejor. So Young y Animal Nitrate han sido siempre mis canciones favoritas de este grupo británico.
Tengo por tanto muchas espectativas en el sonido que puedan conseguir estos dos músicos juntos, aunque Brett ha declarado a la XFM, según publica el NME, que las primeras canciones suenan un poco a... ¡Johnny Cash!
Pues a mí me gusta más el "Dog man star", especialmente "We are the pigs", "Heroine" y "The power". Aunque si tengo que elegir otro, evidentemente me quedo con el "Suede".
Menudo bluff aquello de Butler en solitario...
Bobadas, Suede es la mejor banda que ha dado el pop británico en la última década, sólo hace falta repasar sus caras B y rarezas para darse cuenta que muchos grupos hubieran pagado para contar con tal número de grandes canciones como "The sound of streets", "this time" o la fabulosa "Heroin". Además, nadie discute que Bernard es y era un estupendo guitarrista , pero Richard Oakes ha sido siempre un excelente sustituto y un músico fantástico . Suede forever.
