En este pintoresco paraje de Mondoñedo, perteneciente a la provincia de Lugo fue retenida Doña Isabel de Castro, esposa del Mariscal Pardo de Cela cuando regresaba de Castilla con el indulto de los Reyes Católicos para su marido.
